About WABNA

The West Alabama Black Nurses Association (WABNA) was founded in 2019, becoming a chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA). As part of the NBNA, WABNA aims to serve the underrepresented and under-served across West Alabama.

WABNA continuously strives to provide health information and teach health-literacy to the community. Additionally, WABNA provides mentorship, scholarships, professional development and resources for nurses, nursing students, and other healthcare professionals.
